Northeast State Foundation

In 2011, Northeast State Foundation launched the "Because of You" campaign to increase program awareness and increase staff/faculty participation. In 2012, it was decided to involve the community with the campaign. The Foundation was able to make 35,000 new contacts and raised $100,000, triple the amount of the year before.

A great deal of the success was due to a photo contest that encouraged student organizations to get the most likes, tags, and wall posts for their Facebook page. Each group's progress was tracked by an interactive chart on the Foundation's website to display an up-to the-minute tally. The dedicated support of the Tri-Cities area has not only increased awareness of programs, but allowed the Foundation to start 20 new scholarships.
